Old muddy water, take me down Old muddy water I swim Down to the river I row and rise (Yes I rise) Down to the river I go

The Storm 05:24
Alone, far away from home I don’t give a damn what they say Stones, stacked upon the tomb Spirits call me from the flames I’ve been walking all night long I’ve been searching for the song to sing you back Sing you back Through the clouds and through the snow Through the halls where the cold wind blows you back Bring you back Fly in the rain, hear the thunder cry Fly in the rain, see the lightning in my eyes Fly in the rain, let the storm rise Please, open your eyes, she said Baby don’t leave me so soon There, beyond the holy light We can lay our burdens true From the water to the sky Through the forest of my mind I’ll sing you back Sing you back In the mirrors and the tears Where the pages of my years turn you back Bring you back Fly in the rain, hear the thunder cry Fly in the rain, see the lightning in my eyes Fly in the rain, let the storm rise We fall like ashes We burn like flashes in the night We fall like ashes Here, we bear our arms to lay Hollow cries and weary eyes Known, we have ourselves to blame There’s no more cards left to draw. I was sittin’ on aces high Burned and turned my way through time to sing you back Sing you back Now we’re left to fold our hands Writing wisdom in the sand won’t bring you back Bring you back Fly in the rain, hear the thunder cry Fly in the rain, see the lightning in my eyes Fly in the rain, let the storm rise

Ain’t it like the summer To go running off so fast Ain’t it like the dreams I had They were made to last To the fields I’ve ever roamed Send the flowers, I’m coming home I’m coming home Ain’t it like the moonlight To throw punches at the stars Ain’t it like my sanity To go running off to Mars When the tears have turned to stone Send the flowers, I’m coming home I’m coming home It’s only love Ain’t it like the raindrops To wash away your past Ain’t it like the whistling winds To fill up your mast To the roads I’ve never known Send the flowers, I’m coming home I’m coming home It’s only love

Slow Burn 04:46
It’s a slow burn, it’s gonna bring you down It’s a slow burn, it’s gonna bring you down I’m gonna rise on the riverbed Save your tears for a rainy day The spirits will rise washed clean through the water The smoke in our eyes, and the flame is getting hotter It’s a slow burn, you’re gonna feel my strain It’s a slow burn. You’re gonna feel my strain I’m gonna forge my sword in the flames of the chosen And blaze your fields until the flowers grow The spirits will rise washed clean through the water The smoke in our eyes, and the flame is getting hotter Hold on tight, we’ll find a way, oh If we can see the signs I’ll scream all night, to hear you say, oh That you will always be mine When the lights turn bright and the engines hum That’s when I know you will come to my door Take my hand, we’re right before The path to the better lands It’s a slow burn, gonna heal my pain It’s a slow burn, gonna heal my pain I am gonna bear my soul to the righteous and the kind You gotta bleed before you fly The spirits will rise washed clean through the water The smoke in our eyes, and the flame is getting hotter

Tropical roses dance before my feet Singular poses from everyone you meet Far away the snow falls on empty cobble streets Old men smile at all the pretty girls they meet I’m aware of the finer things I am aware I’m aware of the things between I am aware Shimmering sparkle on golden gilded greens Bursting down the mountainside and pouring to the sea The turtles rise to usher in the dawning of the moon Crystal sands and eager hands to sow the seeds in bloom I’m aware of the finer things I am aware I’m aware of the things between I am aware In the madness of the night The creatures fold their wings to fly In hopes to find a better place to call home Brown skinned sirens sing the ships to calmer seas Mujeres tan divinas, the mariachi plea Raise the sails and map the trails to the edges of my mind Lift the stones, unearth the bones and see what we may find I’m aware of the finer things I am aware I’m aware of the things between I am aware

Puddle Of Me 04:17
Look at me, I am as ragged as a man can be Why can’t you see behind these eyes filled with electricity That I have pulled back the curtains, and I’ve unlocked the doors I showed you everything I could bear When it rains, all that’s left is a Puddle of me All alone with the birds and my mother’s song In the wind I cry, Lord I swear I could touch the sky Sometimes my heart ovewrflows, or it is empty as a pail I just need a moment to breathe When it rains, all that’s left is a Puddle of me Sometimes I wish that you could live Inside my head You could talk to the voices, explain all these choices To them They sure as hell don’t hear me be, and they won’t let me be Just let me close my eyes When it rains, all that’s left is a Puddle of me

Howl 04:55
We were born into the times of our lives carved in stone We have torn at the scars of our lies to the bone We have pushed and we have pulled until the edges fray We won’t find our feet until we turn the page Love is patient and love is kind, but you can’t rewind You can see what you believe, or believe what you see Which side are you on, what’s right or wrong What’s left to gain, is it worth the pain In the middle of a few or far between

Just A Dream 06:20
I remember when you called my name Yes, you called my name most every night I remember when you found your fame, and you found your flame You never said goodbye So I sit here with this heart all torn When we both had sworn we’d keep the feelings light Maybe someday when the time is right I will hold you tight But it was just a dream Everytime I close my eyes It was just a dream Just spilled into a starry night If I don’t see your face inside my head I’d wish that I was dead But it was just a dream So let me sleep instead I traveled the road looking for a place to hide When I saw your eyes peeking ‘neath the lights In those eyes I saw a thousand smiles And a thousand cries fighting for the spotlight But in you prose I get my daily dose of this Love that makes me so high In a breath I feel eternity When you’re next to me But it was just a dream Everytime I close my eyes It was just a dream Just spilled into a starry night If I don’t see your face inside my head I’d wish that I was dead But it was just a dream So let me sleep instead Wake up, it’s time to play our favorite song We can mend these faults and find A little direction Wake up, I swear it won’t be too long We can take this trip through the doors of A new dimension So get onboard, we’re close to shore Open your eyes Raise a glass we’ve found our peace at last On these golden shores where the sun goes down slow We’ll look back at all the lines we’d drawn, and those words we’d sworn Used as ammunition With the laughter of what we’re after We can swing wide the doors of our hearts And in those eyes I saw a thousand cries I made you smile But it was just a dream Everytime I close my eyes It was just a dream Just spilled into a starry night If I don’t see your face inside my head I’d wish that I was dead But it was just a dream So let me sleep instead

If I had a hand grenade I’d throw it in my head And blow up all the thoughts and noise while laying in my bed I wasn’t made to wear a suit and tie, wasn’t made to run that race I was only made to sing my song and put a smile on your face So here I stand On the eve of my destruction If I had an atom bomb I’d lay waste to my heart Obliterate my hopes and dreams and incinerate my art I wasn’t meant to step in line I wasn’t meant to run 9-5 I was meant to lend a hand but that’ll keep your pockets light So here I stand On the eve of my destruction If I had a carpet bomb I’d shred apart my soul And blow up every moment I felt that I was whole I wasn’t meant for fashion, I wasn’t meant to be too cool I was meant to keep you warm like a blanket on your soul So here I stand On the eve of my destruction Well my head’s gone numb And my heart’s grown cold And my trapped soul is screaming out (let me the fuck out!) For that one thing, anything to remind me of better days Please, please show me the way If I had a flower, I’d plant it on my grave Hope someone might water it remembering better days For all the things I wasn’t meant to be I never could see clear There must’ve been something to keep things From ending up right here So here I stand On the eve of my destruction

We’ve been talking way too long Without saying a thing All along the battle lines were drawn For you to tend your cage I think you better wake up to these times You will abide Don’t let down your guard and face into the night It’ll be alright A restless heart that’s running on rage A restless heart with thoughts on the page A restless heart, can’t be filled When it’s bleeding on the stage We can venture for the things to gain Outside your window Just beyond the grasp of what was once your last Sweet hello I think you better wake up, it’ll all slip away Down the line we may find some time to Do it over again A restless heart that’s running on rage A restless heart with thoughts on the page A restless heart, can’t be filled When it’s bleeding on the stage Walk in the shadow of the flame A strangers laugh bears the blame You’ll never win in the game When you’re bleeding on the stage Just at last when we have found our peace Hear the call Memories of all you hold so tight Up on the wall I think you better wake up It’s all in your hands Let it pass and dig your toes into the sand Take it slow A restless heart that’s running on rage A restless heart with thoughts on the page A restless heart, can’t be filled When it’s bleeding on the stage

I said I love you baby, but I can’t find a way To keep you hear, girl Why won’t you just stay Like my words in the wind you blow Like sand through my fingers you go I just want you to be my friend Girl please stay with me till the end Times when I felt your touch I thought we had so much But you won’t look at me This room feels so heavy Like my words in the wind you blow Like sand through my fingers you go I just want you to be my friend Girl please stay with me till the end I sit alone with my thoughts I could’ve given you so much But I let you walk away Frozen with the things I should say Like my words in the wind you blow Like sand through my fingers you go I just want you to be my friend Girl please stay with me till the end I keep digging this hole, deep down in my soul I need you, to see me through But I just can’t stand your lips kiss another man I plead you give me one more chance At the end of the day I fall on my knees and pray Please just darken my door, once more Like my words in the wind you blow Like sand through my fingers you go I just want you to be my friend Girl please stay with me till the end I just want you to be my friend

about

There is no greater power on earth than the power to look up and ask for help. This simple premise brought some of the finest musicians in the state of NJ to my doorstep, who all offered their amazing talents asking nothing in return. When you ask for help you will find yourself surrounded by people who care, and they will inspire you so greatly that you will find yourself so driven to be just like them. They are lights, and I believe the lights are out there for everyone who is looking and willing to follow them on faith. I believe if you follow those lights you will find your purpose. I have no doubt the musicians and artists who worked with me on this album are living angels. They are lights. Each has inspired and lifted me beyond measure, and I can only hope in some small way I have lifted them as well. I am forever in their debt.
